How about this crazy idea get together with the other parents put together a grocery list set up a tent and help yourself. Believe it or not BS answers out a lot of emails from COLLEGE coaches, speaks constantly about our children to recruiters and spends time on the sidelines coaching what more do you want. He will answer any questions will call ahead to camps so our kids get that little extra look. Don't be afraid to approach him with any questions he will help you if you ask. He even attends high school games to watch his kids (Topguns) play. Stick with the program, believe in it and it will pay off. Just look at the commitments. Remember this has to be a joint effort with all parties involved to be successful. Play your part instead of griping.

Setting up a tent and having snacks and food is not the director's job or even the coaches job. Most YJ teams have a team parent who coordinates this through group email. The team parent gets a volunteer to bring a tent, and then arranges volunteers to bring different items (water snack, etc.). I am surprised that TG teams don't do this (not all YJ teams do it either, but most do). If you want something like this I am sure you can talk to the powers that be and they would probably encourage it as it helps build team friendships.
