Actually, regardless of parental opinion on the “level” of a players ability, showcases of any kind are a good experience on many levels. Whether a player is recruited or not it gives kids the exposure to pressure and helps them perform while learning to shut out the “noise”. They learn to concentrate on their performance and fundamentals while at the same time being a positive personality. It also exposes those players who have been coached to be selfish and a detrimental personality to a team. Do your best and have fun should be the message.

Love this. Exactly the point I was trying to make before. It's a great event, great opportunity for kids, and a really strong group of kids who made it. Kids will enjoy it, play alongside other amazing players, and their talent will speak for itself.
