STOP....Are you serious or just stirring the pot. SBU cost is 20K. If you get 10K for athletic/academics you have a 10K yearly bill. They are ranked top 10-20 in lax. Its a good academic school. The schools is close so going to games is easy. If daughter has tough week at school she can come home for a visit in 30 min. CAA schools 50-60K. Private colleges/universities 50-60K. You get some break going south to some colleges to maybe 45-50K. It is a no doubt best buy when it comes to the financial commitment for college.


That's exactly my point , the more sought after players on Long Island have more options thru scholarships etc and rarely choose to stay home . Not saying I agree with other colleges opinions of who the top recruits are but in general he kids committing to Stony Brook have not been strongly recruited by other top programs .Whats the highest ranked recruit they have gotten since Spallina has been there . Again not saying I agree with those rankings but they do indicate a level of interest those players have received .
