Not one person said they are not playing to win. The point is that it doesn't matter who wins as long as you are competitive and you showcase your talents. College coaches rarely stay for a whole game and they really don't care what the score is.
PRESUMABLY....
winning teams go further in tourneys - leads to playing against incredible competition - leads to more exposure to college coaches there watching both teams - leads to potential top tier colleges
and I forgot to mention that the teams that win a lot, for the most part, have coaches that can pick up a phone and contact most colleges coaches BECAUSE of having teams that win.
