Please explain how keeping the boys and girls together is bad for the community? Travel lacrosse has absolutely destroyed the team chemistry necessary to win high school championships on a consistent basis. When student athletes identify with their travel programs more than their town, Your culture is destroyed

The Ballers program is all about community, that's great. But, it doesn't help the players reach their potential. I don't see how playing lower level lacrosse together helps the program succeed. How is travel lacrosse destroying the Pleasantville and John Jay programs?

Massapequa, Garden City, Smithtown West, Ward Melville and Mt Sinai all have kids playing on various club teams. But they also do a school/town team. These are some of the top publics in the country. Sure there is jealousy and there is jockeying but club makes the programs stronger. (and that would happen if there wasnt travel). The town structure just can't be an all or nothing proposal.

Iron forges Iron! In sports you want to challenge the players, mind and physical skill. You want to expose them to the best talent possible, to play both with and against. Saying otherwise is unsportsmen like!
