No goals in the last 11 minutes with the new shot clock rule? That's as surprising and unexpected as the close score.
Was a close game. I think it says as much about Canisius as anything. Towards the end of last year, the Griffins lost to Syracuse 13-11 and Cornell 15-11. They are coached by the Canadian women's National Team coach. I'm not sure what the result says about Northwestern, but I think it says Canisius is likely to take another step forward into the top 25 at least. Also, it was 29 degrees and snowing by the second half. Northwestern won 17 of 18 draws and outshot the Griffs by quite a bit. Griff Goalie made 16 saves.
