Saw the game- One win. There’s talent there. Wantagh’s got to get some new coaches. Diglio & Cerasi on fire yesterday but so many others not taking opportunities.
No insight into the coaches but they only lost 4 games (St Anthonys, GC, Sacred Heart, Manhasset). No problem there, all top teams. And they have wins against CSH and South Side (x2). And this in context of losing their best player to injury early in year. At least from outside looking in they seem to be fine.
Of the 4 losses. Only the loss vs St. Anthonys is a “bad loss”. All other losses are “quality” losses. all 3 of the other losses were under 2 goals (which could have easily went the other way for a W) - vs GC 8-6 L - box score shows wantagh led by 1 after 3 qtrs but got outscored 4-1 in the 4thQ - vs Sacred Heart 8-7 OT L - vs Manhasset 12-11 L
Seems like Gritty players there. Does a “better” coach turn those 3 L’s into W’s?
