School Girls tryout was a joke again. The East Hampton kid was sent home after lunch, but she cried and told one of the joke coaches who her cousin is and was allowed to continue. Maybe that same coach can get all the Mattituck/Southold kids on Under Armour again. No shame!
This is why its just plain stupid for kids with verbals to go to these things and EXPOSE themselves, there's no upside other than adding this drivel to your college bio and mom and dad puffing out there chest on the sidelines of your school games. with the new rules all the 19 & 20 verbals would be best served to avoid these things rather than have coaches see that the rest of the group has caught up and/or passed them. the new ruling gives coaches some wiggle room on all these early verbals, but some parents can't resist...
Or have your kid push themselves against the top LI talent. Only will help them in the long run. Be flattered that she got the invitation. Go out there and try your best. If you don't make it, work to get better and try again next year. A life lesson!
