South Side didn't have a chance. They were the better team who played the better game, but the refs were determined to give Lynbrook the win.
Idiot parents. Anyone who has ever been honest to themselves knows to teach their kids that they should never leave it to the officiating to decide games. Surely there were things they could have done to negate bad officiating. In a close game that can go either way refs are human. Best to not leave it up to them, as much as it hurts. Of course on the sidelines what's a charge for one team is a great drive to the goal for the other. What is an illegal check for one team, is a great play by the other. None of us know how the refs are going to call plays. It's all judgement, and well they get paid to ref, and no one pays them on the side to make tilt calls to one team or the other.
While we"re being honest, girls lax officials affect a game more than any other sport. Also, need to implement a flopping/diving penalty like hockey, refs have a hard enough time officiating as it is.
