The best kids didn't show as the best that night which is the very point. Just because you are self proclaimed the" best kid", doesn't mean you get a free pass at every tryout. If that happens, shame on Brine and every other organization that doesn't let the "tryout" itself be the defining reason the kids are picked. I was there and some of the 23 kids picked DID NOT show well and should not have been picked.
