This anecdotal story is three years old but when I saw Coach Danowski speak he said he had never had a player at Duke that played one sport in HS
don't have time to do the whole team but I did do the 3 goalies -
Turri - two time on league Basketball AAron - Hockey and Football Fowler - 3 time all league Football and Wrestling (Fowler's brother also played 3 years of football at Duke in addition to lacrosse)
Something about a good athlete and a competitor that would make me think they would want to be playing for championships all year round and not just in the spring.
