It is not Jester bashing. LI is the gold standard against which everyone should measure themselves. Jesters are part of that standard. Teams outside LI and Maryland are always looking to compare themselves with LI and Maryland squads.
A close game against any of the teams on your list implies a team can compete with the other teams similarly ranked on the list.
They may.......but an all star team from multiple or whole states should be able to compete with one of the many travel teams from LI.
