They are a great group of kids who play hard and as a team. The boys you are criticizing as political picks each contributed in meaningful ways in games this Fall. Hate the coaches and the directors all you want, but it's wrong to criticize the boys and the team the coaches put on the field this Fall - Xtreme beat everyone.

Ok no one is making fun of anyones way of life just what people are doing to make teams. Teams were pre determined. Players who were on other teams last year were invited to the private tryouts that were held for returning players. Told they basically had a spot before tryouts. Certain favors are done for those who are in good favor or standing with certain directors. Those who know and are on the team know this. No one I mean no one is saying that the primary players are not some of the best out there, its just that there are secondary players that are not. Favors were done to get on the team. Families of 91 Extreme know that certain players get the majority of playing time. In majority I mean like 90%. Players are of age to see that better players were over looked its a shame. The Team Long Island goalie was just that type of example.

what you are describing is pretty much every team and every organization in every grade and in every sport - not saying it is wrong or right it just is what it is, sometimes it is about daddy buying helmets or has field permits other times it is friendships with coaches and on the negative side sometimes it is a parent cut - all of this is not fair to the kids but it is the real world and it happens in baseball, soccer, volley ball it doesn't matter all you can do is hope that your kid gets a fair shake and then it is a life lesson. we are just lucky to have so many options on LI if we don't like were we are playing.
