Why would anyone want to do that? I believe the MIAA/WCAC/IAC and public school rules state “A student who has attained his/her 19th birthday before August 31 of a given academic year is not eligible to participate.” How do they get around this?

How they get around this is they go to a prep school witch has 5 years not 4 like a high school. Just google prep schools and you will see there are at least 3 or 4 large ones per state.
