Out of all the boys who play in HS, there is a 2.8% chance of them going D1. Long Island is clearly grabbing a large amount of these spots, with some HS teams boasting an average of 5-10 per grade. If you really want to play a D1 sport, fencing is the way to go, where close to 30% go D1. As for the recruiting process, who cares when the kid commits.
