Edge players are highly athletic , very skilled , and very physical. They play tough . It is a contact sport and if intimidation is a part of their game then so be it. Toughen up or don't play.
There is a big difference between playing like that and playing like a goon and deliberately trying to hurt somebody. Haven't you realized, the NCAA and on field official's are trying to take the unnecessary hits out of the game. True, it is a contact sport but not to the extreme that a player tries to injure another. That is not how the game was meant to be played. It is not a contact sport like football. I guess you could care less about concussions. Are you going to say that is also part of the game. I'm from NY and if we never saw an edge team again that would be fine with us. Goon squads are not welcome or appreciated in this sport. Pay attention to the direction lacrosse officials are trying to take this game, and eliminate the bs you described out of the game of lacrosse. Ice hockey mentality doesn't fit lacrosse.
