It's almost comical that people think the proposed legislation is going to solve all the lax recruiting problems.
The NCAA has been down this road before and their hesitation to further regulate is based on lessons learned with the likes of AAU basketball. The unintended conciquenses are the club coaches and individuals with lines of communication Into the college coaches get more powerful and corrupt. Early RecruitIng won't end, it will just take a different look and feel. Since the kids and parents won't be able to contact the coaches they will rely on conduits to plead their casses to be recruited. The club directors everyone hate will only become more important as the process is conducted through intermediaries. Watch out what you wish for.
