the point is just because a kid plays for black ice, express Channy or 91 heat does not mean the kid is an A player or will play college lax. Kids that left all three of these teams the last few years tried out for A and AA teams and did not make them. Nothing wrong with being on a B team as there are many A and AA kids on those teams and are having fun and great for learning. Parents have got to wake up. talent only gets you so far. The old saying goes it's not what you know but it is who you know. That is true more so in the lax word.

quote=Anonymous]You stating this team is a B+ team at best shows where the line of thinking is coming from. You can't say much about the other 2021 team so you try to make a point with the what you call the "B Team". I am sure you know someone on this team as you took the liberty of commenting about some kids leaving and not making AA teams, and their successes or failures as you describe. What you fail to realize is the 2021 kids not on any "AA Team"s have something to work towards. Developing your son into a better player whether it be skill, confidence, or strength should always be the main objective. I speak from recent experience (As you probably cannot) many of these kids in 2021 regardless of team will have an opportunity to go showcase and personally compete. If your son is that good he will get the invites and looks he deserves. Committing to a school in 8/9th Grade for lacrosse doesn't always work out in favor of the student. Wait These kids are 12 years old..they are just students right? [/quote]
