The boy you are trying to degrade is 12 years old (fact) clearly Not the age of an 8th grader which I'm sure you are aware of although it's easier to just say stuff. He is in 6th grade would of been very young in Kindergarten and parents elected to start him following year. Yes he plays up and always has which is why when he plays near his actual age people spew nonsense because of the talent level. I will be transparent that I once shared your view point on this but did something different and got the facts and got this first hand . This should help enlighten you. but when the 5th grade coach never takes the player off the field when his team plays up, its not a true testament of the team winning playing up. The player is the same age. It leaves you wide open for criticism especially when people use it to bring the other team down. How can you lose to a team a grade younger is what the other team hears. Its fair game for criticism. Its not an attack on the player its an observation about coaching to win. It has its upside and downside. Enjoy your day.
