Serious question, please no bashing, has anyone gotten recruited recently because of their high school coach? Are they still relevant
Players get recruited because of "the player" not because of the HS or club coach/director. At least at competitive college programs. There are so many "recruiting" events these days that college coaches watch the players multiple times. Summer tournaments, Fall tournaments, college camps, and several high profile showcase events are all opportunities for college coaches to watch the girls play. When college coaches like what they see they reach out to the player (most of the time it is through the club director).
HS coaches are not relevant as far as recruiting is concerned.
