From another post, but brings a valid point to the 2021s. Will US Lacrosse mandate age requirements to be eligible for insurance? The issue will come down to insurance. If the Club program or the tournament gets their insurance through US Lacrosse (most of them do) they are going to have no alternative then to adopt this rule. No one is going to be able to self insure themselves against the potential lawsuit that would come if they allowed an older girl to compete younger girls.

USL can only mandate the rules in tournaments they sponsor. For the most part, no one goes to their tournaments anymore so they are totally powerless to enforce this.
