Of course it means something, but unfortunately it means a lot more to the parents than it ever will for the kids. The kids make friends and like playing with others they like, win lose or draw. They are off to the next event, party or sleepover while you are on here 6 months later playing the remember that game game.
I actually liked your post until you had to try and take an uneducated shot, which just makes you sadly what the normal is on here, and shows your level of ignorance.
But since you went there, yes my daughter is a D1 committ, earlier than it should of been but it is what it is, and for much much more than the 6k you stated. Great school, great team, great academics, great money. I'm good but thank you for your concern. But if that's what you're hearing is the potential for your daughter, then it kinda tells you exactly where she's slotted. Nothing wrong with that, many parents will realize some will commit just for the spot or admissions support, with not a penny in sight.
