You are the one looking idiotic since these are grade based teams.

Almost every club team has holdbacks but not at the level of Crabs. They exploit the grade base system and are known as the cheaters of youth lacrosse. Double holdbacks on 2020 and their starters are all holdbacks. As someone else posted, all of Crabs rosters were accidentally released at tournament last fall, many other coaches have the birth dates of all of their players. So in the end, it is you who looks like an idiot by your continued denial that Crabs has no more than any other team. That's just plain BS and you know it.
It astounds me that as youth club lacrosse growth has skyrocketed there has never been a greater push to an age based system to at least 9th or 10th grade. The fact is the majority (not all) of Westchester and LI lacrosse clubs are made up of public school kids where the only way you can be held back is by failing academically, or moving to a private school. In Maryland suburbs, (Baltimore in particular) the majority of lacrosse players go to private schools where being held back is the norm. So, if this Crab parent wants to admit it or not, his son probably goes to (Boys Latin, Gilman, Loyola or one of their feeder schools)a boys private school where a typical 8th grader may be 16, whereas in the typical LI or Westchester public school the youth player is 14. It is what it is.

It is comical how the Crabs keep trying to point the finger at other clubs. They do not seem to understand that they have made a systematic change within their organization and to the lacrosse landscape by encouraging kids in their club to hold back. Crabs is mostly if not all private followed by FCA but not all the clubs in maryland are mostly private- Looneys, Roughriders, 91 MD etc. are a good mix of public and private which helps to keep things real and prevents a starting line up of all holdbacks. If Hoco posted the rosters with schools and DOB, it would help the clubs who are being painted with the Crabs/FCA brush to prove once and for all they are a mix and there might be one holdback on those teams. Some summer DOBs which we can all argue about but not a team full of kids who made the decision to repeat a grade for a sports edge.
