You really want to help your kid get into a good college and/ or get scholarship money? Worry less about showcases and more about the SAT and ACT. Have your son get on the honor roll and crank out a 33 on his ACT and watch him go to a better school than most of the ones you are dreaming about for lax. Oh and an ACT tutor is a fraction of what gets spent on lax.
This is copied from the 2020 board. I truly believe this is the best advice I have seen on this site. Unfortunately, I believe there are too many kids spending hours playing lacrosse and watching lacrosse film that should really be studying!! There are lots of people out there that have some really messed up priorities. Sad because the kids need to realize there is life after lacrosse and yep it is fun to play and be part of a team, but it is WAY more important to get good grade, be in accelerated classes and do well on SAT/ACT. That is what will get you into a great school.
