Completely wrong. My son did showcases going into his Junior year and was recruited. It all depends on which showcases; One Percent, Juniors, Main Stage, Nike etc are all worth it if your son is invited.
Half of the “invite only” showcases end up opening their registrations to everyone. I agree it all depends, but it all depends on the kid and finances, not the showcases. Save your money and invest it into prospect days at the schools your kid is interested. You get to know staff, players, campus and area all at the same time.
