Rankings as of today with remaining conference games to play. Top 6 make playoffs. Severn owns the head to head over BL. McDonogh owns the head to head over Spalding. Pretty much everyone except MSJ is mathematically still alive. Even JC with their win over CHC is still in the mix, although a long shot. The Calvert Hall vs. Loyola game is shaping up to be critical for both teams.

Here's my take based on who they play down the stretch: SM will finish no lower than second, BL could be first to third. MCD will finish 3rd to 6th, Spalding will finish 3rd to 6th. Severn will finish 3rd to 6th. CHC will finish 3rd to 6th. Loyola has a tremendous lacrosse tradition, a large number of boys and some of the best training and playing facilities in the A Conference. They also have two of the best poles (one is only an LSM and the other only a close defender despite some of the coaching match up decisions recently) in the Conference. Despite all of this the Don Diegos will be watching the quarterfinal games from the comforts of home. The peasants may storm the Bastille on Chestnut avenue. St. Paul will hold two end of season parties: one for the red cuppers and the second for the grey poupon crowd. In any case a very disappointing season for the Crussies. Look for more ad nauseum "rebuilding posts" from the Gilman parents. JC could knock off SP and/or MCD to cap off a glorious "most improved" season. This type of season would really help JC to retain their homegrown talent. MSJ is a tough gritty team but still needs to find another 5-7 players to successfully compete in this League.
