I appreciate the insight on showcases. We are getting invited to them now and I'm wondering which ones are the biggest money grabs and which ones are worth while. Is it even worth the money for an incoming 9th grader to showcase?
With both my sons, I allowed them to do Showtime the first (and second) year because I wanted them to be invited the summer before Sept 1 date. I was afraid they wouldn't get an invite if they rejected the first. Insecure on my part? Maybe. But it also helped them acclimate to the showcase atmosphere.
