They are an overpriced rec team like many of the other clubs. If you look at HOCO, there were like 35-40 teams and maybe 10 are actual clubs. The rest are just stealing from families and playing rec competition and providing rec development and instruction.

I just checked 45 teams at 2023. This statement is accurate. But, it is time to move on. There is no longer such a thing as "Elite" what really matters is the type of events a club plays in. However, I am not one to care about the finances of another. $1500 to $2500 does not seem like a lot of money to the demographic of club lacrosse. What is that one less ski trip a winter? Kids paying 35K+ to attend a private HS primarily for lacrosse or paying 65K less a litte lacrosse discount at a private college is the money grab. It is accurate IMHO that 10 teams in the mid-atlantic can play and show well at the top events. A team that gets blown out by 10 goals is not helping either team or the players showcase to coaches. 4-5 teams at the top are better than the lower 4-5 teams. There are maybe 4-5 in the Philly area 5-6 in LI 10 in all of NY, NJ area, 4-5 in NE and 1-2 in each of the major southern and western markets that can play and do well in the top events. With all of that, Breakers are not one of those teams.
