Recon is all Levittown coaches and most of the team is from Levittown/ wantagh. They have favorites so your kid may not play that much .
It's great when you get a comment like this. Coaches play the kids that give them the best chance to win. We played against Recon at Forsberg and they played every kid on their team. I looked over at first and thought that is a lot of kids, but they made it work. As someone who coached HS lax, when it comes to playing time, it's always tough. Coaches usually go to the kids they can trust when the game is on the line. Does that mean these coaches go with the players that they know or have coached for more than 6 or 8 weeks of summer lacrosse, maybe. It's all a balancing act nowadays. Parents are always ready to blame the coach instead of looking at their kid in an objective manner. It is the way society and sports is going and another reason many good coaches are hanging it up.
