If you're referring to the Duke's Nationals team, I can tell you that the core roster is set. There may be players who come in for evaluations and ultimately make the team, but how is that any different than any other team having tryouts? The organization absolutely does not bring in "hired guns" meaning players just for a tournament. It is communicated from the beginning that if you accept a position you are expected to give priority to Nationals as your primary club.
