Setting your son up for success in the classroom is totally different than putting older kids on the field with younger ones. I understand you don't get this concept, since you were probably brought up around it. Kids should be playing against their own age on non-school teams. Bucking the system is not the proper or moral thing to do. Play your kid on age, I'm sure he will still be a good player.
