Sidewinders goalie was not on Black Ops. That was VLC, BLC, Next Level and Top Caliber joint enterprise.

Started as a joint enterprise to build a team for WSYL, had open tryouts, and 2026 team ended with members also from FCA, Looneys, and Sidewinders for east qualifier. All rosters are posted on the WSYL site.

Speaking to parents from those teams, I was told that the "open tryouts" were basically pointless for the kids on those teams, as the rosters were mostly pre-selected (because the coaches already knew the kids). That is not an indictment, knowing the kids from coaching them (and against them) for years is a much better evaluation than a two hour run through drills. It was really more of a recruiting thing to grab a couple of extra players. We will see if it is a legit team, by whether they stick together in the future or go back to VLC, BLC, DC Express, 3D, FCA, Looneys.... etc... The second line middies, #3 attackmen and role players on those teams, had no shot for Black Ops no matter what they did at tryouts. Obviously they assembled a decent enough team to make the final four; but call it what it is, a way to skirt the intended rules to try to beat the Hawks (which in the end, they did.). There is a reason Long Island calls out the DMV. Apparently Towemen was the same basic idea for North Jersey and New York Suburbs.

Sorry Hawk dad but Black Ops had a bigger agenda then just beating you. We just fell short like 23 other teams, you were just in our way.

We will see what kind of integrity Black Ops has.. So are you staying together to keep playing or was your "agenda" just for this summer?
