Still loving the fact that parents talked so much smack and pulled their kids off of our team for WP thinking they had to play for the best. Apparently they were the difference maker!
This is so sad. Parents do what they think is best for their kid. Maybe they wanted a change of coaching style, a closer practice facility, a team they view as more successful, a change from the parents, a change from teammates, more playing time, etc. Why do parents care what others do? So people left your team for another and you are berating them because they lost one game to you? Who cares? These are 10 yr old kids. You should see the changes that have occurred at the 6-9th gr top teams. They barely resemble what they were in the younger years. You won a game- great! You and your boys should be proud, but bashing other families for thinking another team is a better fit or will lead to more success for their kid is just down right obnoxious and childish. There's a long road to go and it's a much nicer one if you leave the bitterness aside. These kids could very well end up as teammates again- HS, travel, college. Please get a grip on yourself because it's embarrassing.
