So? The admissions standards for recruited lacrosse players at Hopkins are basically nonexistent. You can't compare Hopkins to even schools like Notre Dame or Duke, much less the Ivies or good NESCACs.

Yes you can compare the admissions standards of Hopkins to ND or Duke or NESCAC's, even the Ivies. It is not easy to gain acceptance to Hopkins. It is one of the top universities in the US and there is very little, if any, "bending the guidelines" for a lacrosse recruit. You either meet the standards or are not accepted.

You're clearly not very familiar with the recruiting process and shouldn't be commenting as if you are.

I'm very familiar with the process. My son was recruited and played at Hopkins and graduated in four years. He had the grades etc. but there were a few teammates who just barely met the requirements or were a few ticks below and this is where the "wiggle room" came into play for the coach. JHU only gives the lax coach 2, maybe 3 at most, for players in this category. Hopkins wants new admissions to have the requirements as they want and expect the student to be successful and to graduate with a degree. A few needed an extra semester but did graduate with their degree.
