BL JV is weak this year, but that’s more due to Varsity keeping 50+ guys on a roster instead of more evenly distributing talent. If 5-8 of the varsity benchwarmers were on JV, it would be a huge difference-maker, and there’d likely even be trickle down to the FS level. They play starters deep into the fourth in blowout games so it’s not like those 9/10th graders are seeing the field in a meaningful way. It’s not a way to build a program, but it does keep noisy parents happy since their sons get a jacket.

The covid bubble has hit. Numbers are really weird.
Pretty much every varsity team in the state has taken kids that don’t belong anywhere near a varsity field because numbers are so thin. It will pass in 2 years.
