Its all about the match ups and the style a team plays. Let's see how they do today against the Cards before we get too giddy about one game. My rivalry day picks for this afternoon:

CHC over Loyola: Home team wins. The Dons have lost too many times in a row to the Cards and can't get over the hump.
BL over SP: The Lake rebounds from hard fought loss to Loyola and Saturday and defeats the Crussies handily.
Spalding over MSJ: This is about finishing for the Cavs. They want to beat the Saints twice in a season as their true rivals.
SM over Severn: Severn has been inconsistent (especially defensively) but SM's wants a playoff rematch with Spalding.
Gilman over McD: Gilman has gotten much better over the season. They took SM to the matt and crushed SP. Upset: 10-9

St Marys rival is Severn not Spalding. Not sure who Spaldings rival would be. Spalding has to be somewhat competitive year in and year out to have a rival. If Spalding was a band they would be a on hit wonder.

Spalding's rivals are Broadneck and Severna Park.
Maybe they'll play them later if their rivals handle their business. MIAA champs vs. MPSSAA champs.

It has been said here before... "Just" winning the A conference championship is not enough for this group. They deserve to be recognized in a broader way. Avenging decades of losses to Broadneck and Severna Park is a good step in that direction. I think we know a guy who can make this match up happen (and sponsor it). We can formally address the showcase touring schedule after the A conference championship but it is not too early to start thinking about it.
