Apples vs. Oranges. The lower A conference teams can still beat the best public school teams 9 out of 10 tries. That game will make Severna Park better going forward.

I was at both games Monday. Severn would beat SP 99/100 times and SM would beat Broadneck by 7+ 100/100 times.

Where is this coming from? SP and Broadneck are great in AACPS league play but could never "consistently" hold a torch to any MIAA teams. Like it or detest it... that is reality.

This is also coming from the public-school fans and “everyone gets a trophy” group. The two guys doing the Baltimore Sun and VSN polls don’t want to put all 11 MIAA teams at the top of the polls, despite the fact they are actually the best 11 teams in the region.

They gotta throw some public schools in there for “readership” purposes. Even though we have seen repeatedly, that they don’t belong, and can’t perform at a high level consistently.
