In high school who cares. Hold your kids back all you want. Once they are done with puberty all is fair.
It’s at the youth ages that it’s weak. During the puberty years 9 months-18 months can make all the difference in the world.
But by high school, you are either good enough or you aren’t.
Agreed 5th-8th grade you can see it, 9th most will be mature enough.
