It is not always the parents. I have a 7th grader who I would say is very strong for her own age group. We were approached by the Varsity coach to see if we would be willing to have her take the test. We have never contacted him or reached out to him in anyway. We are not going letting her as we feel there is something to be said for "time & tenure". But we by no means initiated the request. So, in some cases it may not have been "crazy" parents.
