National teams are so lopsided. Is it age or just some teams are all in and others just in it?
Holdbacks vs on age teams. The holdbacks win. Don't bother spending your time and $ on this event unless you are a holdback.
Save your $ on National teams. Most of the big clubs don’t have national teams nor do they need them. They were created for kids in states with no real good competition to play against better teams. Northeast doesn’t have that problem. If you attend one of these tournaments you will quickly see there are plenty of holdbacks and kids who just play down in grade. When some of the local teams can beat their own National team you know it’s just a waste of time and money.
This post is spot on. If you doubt it, check out the rankings for any grade. There are no national teams that are considered top teams, at any grade level. Team 91 use theirs for small markets, to give decent players the opportunity to play with other decent (not great) players. They don’t allow players from their Long Island based teams to play on the national team. Absolutely save your money.
