If parents would concentrate more on the coaching and the strength of the teams as a whole, instead of the individuality or "my kid has to be the star on the team" mentality, then talented teams could be created. These clubs are a business, making money off YOU, let's not forget that. These new clubs are forming because of unsatisfied parents who think their kid is not getting enough playing time/ exposure, etc. You can always find good trainers for extra help with stick work etc. But, solid clubs who are able to develop your kids talent, as well as, the team as a whole should be more of the focus. A talented athletic kid only gets better playing with other talented kids, striving to be better. But, unfortunately, in this age group this is not the focus. I have a feeling there will be a lot of jumping ship next year as well. The talent will become more diluted. And, the teams in this age group will not gel or develop as a contending team because of this. Sad.
