Everyone on whatever email list they got their hands on was invited. They carry twice the number of kids that they invite to play at tournaments. This is an outright lie.

First of all, if you think this is an email blast you're absolutely wrong. It is an invite-only situation and if you went to the minicamps you would see that everyone there is a very good player. The only ones that may not be are ones that are recommended by somebody and tryout--that being said, if they're not high quality players you won't see them at the next event.

Beyond that, camps vary in cost depending on the location/events planned, but are always a high quality training opportunity. The reason so many of the invitees go is because the parents/players recognize the value. I've seen MULTIPLE professional lacrosse players providing specialized position training at minicamps to supplement the quality coaches they already have involved.

As for the depth chart, it is absolutely no different than how most college teams work--be the best player in your position and you can travel, if not keep pushing yourself to get better so you can.

This is somebody trying to fling mud.
