I think only in very rare circumstances for an elite recruit would the SAT/ACT be waived. The norm is commit, take the tests, go thorugh admissions (with coaching staff support) and be accepted. Some may get into a "reach" school but I highly doubt an Ivy is accepting a "C" student with poor or no SAT scores unless he fits some other demographic. Plenty of smart quality lax players out there, no need to dumb it down.
