Highlights
Garden City explded for eight goals in the third quarter to overcome a 3-3 halftime tie to take the Class B title, 13-8 Cody George scored five goals and James Sullivan won 18 of 25 faceoffs as Garden City (19-3) won its second straight Class B state championship. Jamesville-DeWitt finished 20-2.
Bronxville from Section I led the Class C title game, 8-5 at the half and everything looked to be in control. Cazenovia stormed back in the second half. Trailing 10-9 after three quarters, Cazenovia opened the fourth quarter with four unanswered goals including three in 22 seconds to take a 13-10 advantage.
In the final game of the 2013 Varsity season, Ward Melville took control with a 6-2 opening quarter and 5-0 second stanza to make it an 11-2 halftime score in their much anticipated match with West Genesee from Section III. The second half was much the same as the Patriots conclude their "Tour de Force" season.
The 2013 Boys High School Varsity Lacrosse season is now closed. Congratualations to all of the Champions, Finalists, and teams throughout the region.
