Lots of talent spread out this tryout season, choosing playing time over sitting the bench on an AA team. You still have a handful of players on the top AA teams that will not see the field, but parents have AA team envy and choose that situation for their kid.
Most teams will go to equal playing time by Fall 2024 when recruiting starts. Even if you aren't playing much this year, getting on a high visibility club this year could be the right move.
