No , most schools follow the rules, for a coach to openly tell you that he plans on playing 8th graders on a u13team is sad. My sons team is made up of all 6th graders and for them have to play against 8th graders is dangerous and should not be allowed under any circumstance. The honest 6th grade teams have a hard enough time in u13 against 7th graders but to force them to play against kidso 2 1/2 years older seems weird. The parents of those 8th graders need to reign in this coach and let him know that sanctioned cheating is not the lesson he should be teaching the athletes in his care. Rising JV players should never face pre middle school players.
