This is a bit of exaggeration on saying if you are not the top 15 kids then 10 or so kids will be cut/demoted. The the summer leading up to 7th and 8th grade will lead to the most movement in clubs as kids/parents at the smaller clubs start looking at the bigger clubs. The numbers of girls moving clubs will be higher his year as YJ has moved their tryouts from their traditional time of August to July.
Even with this the "A" teams will see an average turnover of 4-5 girls or less. It gets to be less by 9th grade and onward as teams are established and girls get comfortable where they are. There are many instances where girls will choose to stay on B than move up to A. This is why YJ "B" teams have been better than some "A" teams on Long Island.

Go to each club tryout and see where your daughter fits in skill wise.
