Yeah, let's use the final game to make sure everyone gets playing time - is that really the excuse you are going with? True Blue got beat by a better team. True Blue simply isn't deep enough to play with the strong clubs......too reliant on kids from Massapequa (and they'll pass over a strong player from another town for a Pequa kid who is friends with a few kids on the team). It's the same story for all ages. It's why True Blue will never be an A team. Strong town team, which there is nothing wrong with that.
At least 2024 made it to the finals this weekend. Other ages didn't do too well. The 3 wins by 2024 matched the total of their other 4 teams, combined.
Every True Blue team had the hardest schedule, while express and 91 had the easiest. They did not want to see True Blue succeed and the teams did not do bad at all. Two made the championship and one tied two teams, which could've easily been wins. Express and 91 played the easiest teams and were set up to meet each other. Funny how when 91 loses they don't update it on the app or online. But everyone else they do.
What is your excuse for the 2022 True Blue team? Was that a hard schedule in the B bracket? I'll side with you in 2023 that the schedule was set up so Warriors and Haugen met in the playoffs (same in 2022A with Marksberry & Channy), but both younger 91 teams weren't set up -- and they both made the finals. The app is even updated to show that both of those teams lost the finals.
That's a lie . The 2023 bracket was not set up for Express. In pool play Express played True Blue & Empire which were suppose to be two of the best B teams.Since it was a 91 tourney - Warriors taken care of & played all of the weaker teams.
