So, just to be clear, you are saying TB ,more specifically Coach Cat, played the better kids less in a championship game??
Or ,might it be the starters played less AFTER the game was out of reach? (4mins In)
Both games were not close based on any metrics -GB's , Time of possession, Shots, GB's,Face offs,
The only thing TB had more of was SAVES by an excellent goalie.
TB is a B team, Express is not.
TB already talking about re-tooling for next year. 2 teams. One will try to compete in A, the other will be B. There will be tons of movement this summer
I wouldn't call that retooling - that was the plan coming out of last season, but they didn't get enough players at tryout to have 2 teams. Such is the dilemma for many programs that are not in the top tier: they can draw a decent group of the top 10 boys, but then the falloff can be steep, steeper for some than others. Just because a program/coach wants to build a true A team doesn't make it happen.
