I don't know about any merchant marine league all star team, but someone scheduled the Team LI U-13 team to play the U-15 Crabs! Why? The Crabs' parents said they didn't want to drive 5 hours to play a U-13 team, and the Team LI parents' reaction is unprintable. Supposedly (all rumor), the Team 91 U-15 team didn't want any part of the Crabs so dropped out and the Team LI U-13 team had the honor of replacing them. The score was 25-1 or 30-1 or something like that, but who's counting?
91 dropping out is Bull---- they don't play in the Oyster Bay leaugue and were never involved. Mule's 91 team did travel to Md last spring to play what is now the U15 crabs and lo and behold they WON so kudos to the U13 team Li for playing the game.
1- Your 91 team beat a completely DIFFERENT crabs team last year, ASK AROUND or check the Crabs site NEW roster.
2- Mule 91 team WAS suppose to play, check the Crabs site again
3- What have you done for me lately, last year means nothing
4- You misinformed & uneducated to the truth
No one said it was the same team, different team or other. 91 went down to MD last year & played the Crabs, had a great game & a great time. The point being made was 91 was NEVER scheduled to play the Crabs @ any point this weekend. It does NOT matter what their website said, it was NEVER set up! How many teams did their website say they were playing? How many did they play? & was it only 1 that was scheduled to play that actually did play them? The website was incorrect. Have you ever heard of an organization "playing up" an event? Maybe, just maybe you are misinformed & uneducated to the truth.
